Step out Sheffield

Bramall Lane Health Walk

Wednesday 10.30 meeting at the statues in Cherry Street Car Park

The Bramall Lane walk was launched on 1st March 2017. It is the newest of Step out Sheffield’s health walks and is still in its pilot phase. This walk is a collaboration between Sheffield United Community Foundation and Step out Sheffield. It is also supported by local community groups such as the Chinese Community Centre, Ship Shape, and St. Wilfrid’s as well as by football fans and by people who live locally.

Walkers and walk leaders meet up meet near the statues in Cherry Street car park in time to start walking at 10.30 sharp. A number of different routes have been developed ranging from a gentle walk around the outside of the ground for anyone needing a short, steady walk to a choice of rather longer walks in the area for those who find ‘gentle walking’ a bit tame. We aim to provide a choice of walks to suit all levels of ability. Walks generally last no more than 60 minutes.

After the walk we have the use of the ‘International (match day) Bar’ off John Street. Here we can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a natter before parting company. We have it on authority that once in a while a famous face or two will join us in the bar for coffee. They may even join us for a walk…..

Like all health walks, these walks are free. However, please expect to pay a nominal charge for refreshments.
